Talk on "High-sensitivity Tests of Gravity: the Equivalence Principle and the Inverse-square Law"

by Eric G. Adelberger; Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics, University of Washington, USA

Modern attempts to unify classical gravity and the quantum mechanical strong, electromagnetic and weak forces hint that subtle modifications of classical gravity may occur. I will describe the motivations, techniques, results and significance of two such probes: tests of the universality of free fall and of the inverse square law.
