Talk on "Measuring gravity at short distances and other fun tricks with levitated microspheres"

by Giorgio Gratta; Physics Dept, Stanford University

I will describe I new program of measurements in fundamental physics using optically levitated dielectric microspheres. While the investigation of gravity at short distance is the primary goal of this program, I will show an array of intermediate results, including searches for millicharged particles, Chameleon fields and techniques to manipulate the various degrees of freedom of the trapped microspheres.
